The music of RASA is based on devotional songs from ancient India that have been creatively arranged for traditional Indian and contemporary Western instrumentation. RASA has enjoyed a warm embrace from their listeners throughout the United States for their soothing, spiritual, and sacred sound. Whether experiencing one of RASA's five CDs or a live concert, the musical presentation is always an elegant blend of Kim Waters' heartfelt vocals and Hans Christian's virtuosic playing. While Kim has been singing devotional songs from India for most of her adult life she has another creative passion that she has practiced for many years- illustrations and paintings. Some of her work has been published in book form (Illuminations from the Bhagavad Gita; The Butterthief; Enchanted Tales) while other illustrations adorn cook books and self help books. Now Kim has found a great gallery in the Santa Barbara area to show some of her best originals, giclee prints, painted screens, and other media. The gallery is called The Sacred Space and is located at 2594 Lillie Ave, Summerland CA 93067.
